Description |

Designed for outdoor use
|

Due to
its die-cast weatherproof housing, and 100% IP68 certified,
the OWL-54AG can work under all rough weather conditions.
Furthermore, support for IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE makes
power line wiring unnecessary. The capability of remote
management via SNMP and HTTP is provided to eliminate the
cost of on site

Enhanced great security
|

The OWL-54AG can authenticate
and authorize wireless users in organizations, enterprises,
or public areas by the IEEE 802.1x standard. It communicates
with a backend RADIUS (Remote Authentication User Dial In
Service) server to see if a wireless user is allowed to
access the wireless network. Windows XP has built-in support
for IEEE 802.1x. WEP and WPA, is also supported for better
wireless security. |

Wireless Bridge

The OWL-54AG
provides a highly reliable wireless point-to-point
networking solution for distant
locations. The standard WDS (Wireless Distribution System)
technology provides up to 6 staticpoint-to-point
bringing links. The AP client technology automatically
establishes dynamic bridging links with APs from any vendor.
The AP client technology is very suitable for networks that
needs link backup or point-to-multipoint bridging app-lications.
For easy diagnostics, the Web-based Wireless Network Manager
provides the WDS link quality indicator features to check
signal quality based on a remote point-to-point testing
mechanism. |
