The KVM-208iP is an enterprise-class, secure,
KVM-over-IP switch that provides remote BIOS-level control
of up to 8 servers. This KVM-over-IP solution has standard
features such as Virtual Media and dual power, that
Maximize, performance, security, reliability and versatility
. Universal Virtual Media lets administrators perform tasks
such as installing software transferring files and backing
up data. A user can mount drives and media from the user’s
desktop to servers in the data center during a KVM session.

The Dominion KVM-208iP solution consists of
the KVM-over-IP switch and Computer Interface Modules(CIMS).
CIMs connect to the server’s KVM ports and can be located up
to 150 feet away from the switch using UTP(Cat5/5e/6)cabling
.CIMS also provide keep-alive keyboard/mouse emulation.
Access from Windows ,Linux, Sun or Mac
desktops via a wide range of Web browser or standalone
client .
Remote client software is automatically
downloaded via a web browser; standalone versions of client
software can be pre-installed.
